It's HERE!!!  Sign up your little one for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten now, at the Library!

In other exciting news, we're starting our very own Book Club!  Stop by or call 392-3220 for more info and to pick up a copy of our first book!  The first meeting will be October 25 at 6:30 pm, so sign up early so you have time to read!

Our next ~In Person~ Story Hour is Tuesday, October 26 at 11 a.m.!  Space is limited, so please call 392-3220 to register!

The Halloween Kids' Craft Party is  Tuesday, October 26, from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.  Come on over and have some spooky fun!

What's on the Shelves?

Our library provides easy access to our collections and catalog. Learn more about our books, articles, media and more, then stop by to pick up your selections and experience all we have to offer.  We have everything from early reader books to reference to Christian Inspirational to Western, to name just a few! In addition, we have audiobooks, DVDs, and magazines.

We have lots of new items just for kids, in time for Summer Reading 2021!  Come on over and check them out.  New items added all summer long!

Our Staff Picks include some of the top titles available at H.A. Peine District Library. This collection has something enjoyable for everyone - from seasoned readers to young bookworms. Contact us or stop by for more information.

Barb says, "Right now, I'm listening to the new audio release of The Lord of the Rings, narrated by Andy Serkis.  It is a joy to hear!"

Mary Kay says, "Currently I'm looking for a new book to start reading. I just finished reading Nancy Thayer's Family Reunion which I highly recommend."

Lindsay says,  "I just finished How To Be A Tudor by Ruth Goodman.  I am currently reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah and rereading All Creatures Great And Small by James Herriot."

Computers/Digital

We have two socially-distanced public access computers - no library card necessary!
We can fax, copy, or print out from one of the PCs.  (Fees below.)

Books!

What do you like to read?  We have a wide range of Adult, Young Adult, Junior, and Children's titles, both fiction and non-fiction, and a handy Reference Section.  Books may be checked out for two weeks.

DVD Check-Out

DVDs are available for free, one-week checkouts, 5 at a time.

 

Do I have to pay for that?

Books: $.10/day, for every day overdue.
DVDs: $.50/day, for every day overdue.
Copies/printouts: $.25/page
Faxes: $1.00/page
Scan (Bring your own flash drive) $.50/page

Library Resources

You don't have to visit H.A. Peine District Library to access our collections. Many titles, including books, magazines, and other publications are available for download to your computer, eBook reader, or mobile device.  Look for Axis 360, Overdrive, or Libby in your app store!

In addition, we participate in Inter-Library Loan services that help augment our collection and resources available to you!

The online catalog, RSACat, can also be found as an app at the Apple App Store and Google Play, so you can have the catalog wherever you go!

Biblioboard is available to all Illinois residents, whether or not they have a library card, and it can be accessed at https://library.biblioboard.com/home.  Biblioboard, too, has a mobile app available for Android and Apple products.
